Lisa Marie Fernandez
Her bikini, athletic in style, encourages her to be active. She jumps over waves, dives in and out of the water like a dolphin, and whacks beach balls up into the air. It's all fun in the sun...how an afternoon at the seaside should be. But then she returns to the sand, the salty seawater dripping off her limbs and her hair sopping as it flows down her back all scraggly. She places her bottom on her beach matt and attempts to dry off with a sandy towel and the beaming sun, which acts like a heater above her. If only she had something more cosy to speed up the process in a more satisfying way...and then she remembers. There's the beach cape bundled up in her tote bag. That's just what she needs in a moment like this to make her feel like she's just stepped out of the bath, wrapping herself up in fuzzy, cosy towel. Before she knows it, she'll be ready to hop back into the sea and do it all again.
I'm obsessed with Lisa Marie Fernandez's swimwear at the moment. It began with the neoprene swimsuits and scuba-inspired bikinis and then became drastically more so when I caught sight of the beach cape made from the finest quality Turkish towelling and featured in this month's Vogue. Isn't that just the greatest invention?
