A rainy day in Paris seems much more inviting than a rainy day in England. She will take short refuge in a homely cafe, eating sweet treats and drinking cups of warmth, and watch the raindrops elegantly descend down the window. When entering back out into the city she'll take a moment to gaze up at the nonchalant grey sky, down at the glossy pavement and smile. Pourquoi? Because she has no reason to be annoyed or concerned and she can still wear her Maison Martin Margiela jumpsuit on show without it getting wet.
I have an affinity for rainwear (WELLIES, brightly coloured rain coats...) which I don't really understand because any other weather apart from the combination of sun and heat usually leaves me annoyed. With this in mind, an obsession with Wanda Nylon was inevitable. Now it is practical to wear a biker jacket out in the rain and now you don't have to worry about your floppy hat getting destroyed. The innovative French brand is the only fashion brand to specialise in rainwear and it's got me thinking: There needs to be more!
